The Dell Precision T7600 has a four channel memory bus architecture. Dell recommends that all four memory channels be populated with DIMMs for maximum memory performance. Maximum memory speed is tied to processor. 1600MHz memory will run at a reduced speed of 1333MHz when paired with 7.2GT/s processors and 1066MHz with 6.4GT/s processors. 1333MHz memory will run at a reduced speed of 1066MHz when paired with 6.4GT/s processors.
